The robust 1/4 inch thick construction galvanized carrier features a dedicated mount for a Vortex-style #84 removable spindle, compatible with most 3,500 lb 5-lug hubs with the standard 1 3/8" x 1 1/16" bearing combination (68149 x 44649). The removeable design allows for easy removal and installation of the entire hub and spindle, simplifying maintenance and replacement and providing additional insurance for any potential accidents or axle / hub issues on the road. The spare tire mount is constructed from hot dipped galvanized steel, so it is built to withstand harsh conditions and resist corrosion, ensuring long-lasting performance in both freshwater and saltwater environments.

Installation is straightforward, the carrier bolts directly to your trailer's I-beam through the four-hole mounting plate, typically using (4) 1/2 inch Diameter by 1 1/2 inch Long Stainless Steel Bolts (not included). You can also mount the carrier alongside the optional Galvanized Steel I-Beam Spare Tire Mounting Plate, effectively sandwiching the mount to your I-Beam frame for added strength and stability.
