This zinc-plated round trailer u-bolt measures 1/2 inch in diameter by 3 inches in width by 7 inches in length. This U-bolt is most commonly used in a trailer leaf spring U-bolt kit to secure a heavy-duty 3-inch diameter round axle to a set of springs with a 4-hole tie plate. The bolt's zinc-plated finish makes it a good option for use on boat trailers in freshwater environments, as well as utility trailers, landscaping trailers, RV trailers, or other land trailers. The 3-inch diameter of the bolt fits most 5200 - 7000 lb capacity 6 lug and 8 lug trailer axle tubing. You will generally want to use this Zinc U-Bolt only with other zinc or galvanized parts, as Zinc and Galvanized parts can react poorly with Aluminum, degrading the aluminum over time.
