Description

This zinc plated 1/2 inch trailer long stud measures 2 1/2 inches in length, perfect for hubs that need longer hubs to accommodate slip-on disc brake rotors. The extra length of the stud is crucial for hydraulic braked axles to pass through the slip-on rotor and have enough threading exposed to install a lug nut onto the wheel. The stud is installed by hammering in the replacement stud in your hub's empty lug spot and then torqueing down the stud to your hub face with a wrench to fully seat the stud allowing you to safely remount your trailer wheel. These particular studs are direct replacements for the Galvanized 6 Bolt Idler Hubs and Galvanized 8 Bolt Idler Hubs that we carry in kits and as bare hubs without bearings or other components. If you need to replace the studs on your 5,200 lb - 7,000 lb hubs, this long stud is the ideal replacement!
