This is a black painted 8 lug trailer hub designed to fit 6,000 lb - 7,000 lb trailer axles with tapered #42 spindles with 1 1/4" x 1 3/4" bearing combinations. This listing is for the painted hub ONLY, if you need new bearings and seals as well you can purchase them each separately or purchase our ready-to-go bearing kit here. Black painted steel hubs like these are great for utility trailers, enclosed trailers, or other types of trailers that aren't exposed to harsh saltwater marine environments. Hubs like these are usually used on round 3 inch tube trailer axles that are either straight or drop axles. This hub is commonly seen on trailer wheels that are 15 - 16 inches, and the 8 lug on 6 1/2 inch bolt pattern is the standard size for most trailer wheels.

These hubs accommodate the standard 2.717 size dust caps that you would see on 8 lug 6000 - 7000 lb hubs. If you have an EZ lube or Accu-lube greasable zerk fitting on your spindle you would want to consider using a 2.717 Accu-Lube Dust Cap, otherwise, you would likely want to use a Standard 2.717 Trailer Dust Cap or 2.717 Stainless Steel Bearing Buddy for 8 Trailer Hubs.
