Description

This trailer hub wheel bearing kit includes all of the races, bearings, and oil seal to replace the internal components on your 9,000 to 10,000 lb 8 bolt oil bath hub. You will generally see this 1 3/4" by 2 1/4" tapered bearing combination used on heavy duty axles manufactured by Dexter Axle, Lippert, or Al-Ko. This 9k - 10k kit uses a 25580 outer bearing with an inner diameter of 1 3/4 inches, and a 387A inner bearing with an inner diameter of 2 1/4 inches. You will want to double check and confirm that your trailer spindle and hub are compatible with these same bearings, as there can be a lot of variation with heavy duty trailer axles and hubs in the 9,000 to 10,000 lb capacity range.

This kit also comes with the matching races for each of the bearings (Race # 25520 for the outer bearing, Race # 382A for the inner bearing), as well as a dual action unitized oil seal with a 2.875" inner diameter measurement and an outside diameter of 3.880". The included unitized seal is designed only for use with oil-bath style hubs; cross-reference for the seal includes Dexter #010-051-00, 10-51, National # 370150, and Transcom #OB2838051. The bearing kit is compatible with hubs such as Dexter numbers 8-288-3, 8-430-5, H82883BX, 8-430-5UC3, K08-288-90, and more, but you will need to check your hubs and bearings to be sure about compatibility. This is a great kit for replacing and refreshing the bearings on your trailer's hubs, drums, or rotors; we also have both 3.98" Thread Diameter 21-36 Replacement Trailer Oil Caps and 3.5" Thread Diameter 21-88 Replacement Oil Caps available for separate purchase if you need to replace your hub's oil cap as well!
