Description

This is a Replacement Zinc-Plated Cotter Key for securing your Axles' Castle Nut or Nut Retainer. This cotter key measures 1/8" x 1 1/4" and is designed to fit Dexter's new D-Flat Spindle with Cotter Key system. You could also use this on axles that have a pre-drilled hole using the castle nut system as well. The Cotter Key goes through the hole after the castle nut and is then bent into the openings in the nut to prevent it from moving. The cotter key's purpose is to secure your hub or brake drum onto your axle and thereby inhibiting the bearings from loosening and blowing out your hub damaging the spindle.
