This is a self adjusting 12 inch Right Hand electric trailer brake cluster, used in tandem with brake drum hubs on 5,200 to 7,000 lb capacity trailer axles. This type of 12" by 2" electric brake backing plate will frequently be used on heavy-duty enclosed trailers, dump trailers, RV trailers, utility trailers, and other large land-based trailers with electric brake systems. These specific backing plates are self-adjusting, so they will keep an optimal brake shoe-to-drum ratio without needing manual adjustment or fine-tuning. This can keep your trailer's brakes braking more effectively and help your brake pads last longer before needing a replacement! This right-hand (passenger side) electric cluster mounts to standard 5 hole brake flanges that you would find on most 5,200 lb to 7,000 lb 3 inch diameter round axles. The cluster will fit most standard 12 inch brake drum hubs, which will generally be either 6 lug or 8 lug drums. This cluster listing is for only what is pictured, it does not include any other mounting hardware, bolts, or nuts. If you need to replace your trailer's 12 inch electric drum brake system these backing plate clusters are a great, low-maintenance option!
