Description

This is a Right-Hand self adjusting electric trailer brake backing plate cluster for 3,500 pound axles with 10 inch trailer drum hubs. You can see this type of 10" by 2 1/4" electric brake cluster on enclosed trailers, cargo trailers, RV trailers, and other land-based trailers with electric brake systems. These specific backing plates are self-adjusting, so they will keep an optimal brake shoe-to-drum ratio without needing manual adjustment or fine-tuning. This can keep your trailer's brakes braking more effectively and help your brake pads last longer before needing a replacement! This right-hand (passenger side) electric cluster mounts to standard 4 hole brake flanges that you would find on most 3,500 lb 2 3/8 inch diameter round axles, or 2 inch square axles. This cluster does not include any other mounting hardware or nuts other than what is pictured, however we do carry a Zinc Plated 7/16-20 inch Hex Nut that is compatible with the mounting bolts as well as Zinc Plated 7/16 inch Lock Washers. The backing plate is sized to fit standard 10 inch brake drum hubs, which generally will have a 5 lug bolt pattern. If you need to replace your trailer's electric drum brake system these backing plate clusters are a great, low-maintenance option!
