Description

This 1/2 inch by 2 inch zinc-plated trailer drive-in hub stud is a direct replacement for studs on 5 lug and 6 lug boat trailer torsion axles from Knott. These are the exact style of hub studs that come preinstalled on our selection of 3,500 lb Knott Autoflex Torsion Axles and 6,000 lb Knott Autoflex Torsion Axles, so you can be sure that you're getting the exact part you need to replace any missing or broken hub studs. The 2 inch length generally makes this hub stud a good fit for trailer axle hubs that are unbraked or idler hubs, but some disc brake rotors / wheels can still fit onto your hub with these shorter studs with enough exposed thread to safely install your lug nuts, but you will want to check your current trailer's setup and compare the dimensions listed in the photos and below to confirm that they will work for your specific trailer build. The stud is installed by hammering in the replacement stud in your hub's empty lug spot and then torquing down the stud to your hub face with a wrench to fully seat the stud allowing you to safely remount your trailer wheel. These studs use standard sized 1/2" - 20 thread pitch lug nuts, so there is a wide range of compatible lug nuts that you can use with these lug studs on your hub!
