Description

This 6 lug integral rotor trailer disc brake kit manufactured by Knott provides great stopping performance on boat trailers, utility trailers, and other types of trailers equipped with compatible 5,200 to 6,000 lb capacity axles. The 12 inch brake kit features all corrosion resistant zinc-plated or coated/galvanized components ideal for use on a variety of boat trailers and land trailers. This particular disc brake kit includes a dacromet coated hub-rotor combo with a zinc-plated steel caliper, making it perfect for marine and saltwater applications by providing protection against rust and corrosion. This kit is designed to fit on standard 6,000 lb axles with 1 3/4" by 1 1/14" tapered #42 spindles. The kit includes every part you need to outfit your trailer with new Knott brakes; two 6 lug on 5.5" integral rotors with bearings and seals, two disc brake calipers with mounting hardware, and replacement dust caps and spindle hardware for securing the rotor to your axle. The brake calipers are a different style than some other brake kits that you might find manufactured by Kodiak, DeeMaxx, or by us here at Sturdy Built; these calipers will not use a caliper mounting bracket, but instead will bolt directly onto your axle's brake flange with the included 7/16" diameter bolts fastened into the threaded holes on the caliper itself. This makes these Knott brake kits more similar to those manufactured by UFP or Dexter.

This is Knott’s Integral set, meaning the hub and rotor are cast together as one piece, eliminating the need for an idler hub. Since they are machined together, it minimizes rotor runout and ensures a smoother ride. The hub features a 6 on 5 ½” bolt pattern and uses Inner Bearing 25580 (1 3/4" ID) and Outer Bearing 67048 (1 1/4" ID).
