While all of our U Bolts can be used in a variety of ways on both boat trailers and land trailers, each u bolt tends to have its specific function and purpose. This 2 inch wide by 6 1/4" galvanized u bolt is most commonly used on 2 inch Square and 2 inch by 3 inch trailer axles to mount your leaf springs and your axle together.  If you have 4 Leaf to 6 Leaf Springs, this U Bolt would provide enough length to hold your leaf springs to your trailers axle. You will also notice that this product is used with the standard 5 Hole Axle mounting plate when used on your suspension assembly.
