These Protectors have a Piston which extends when grease is pushed into the hub, indicating the internal pressure is rising. The higher pressure inside of the hub keeps dirt or water from entering the hubs and possibly damaging the wheel bearings. The Fulton Bearing Protectors Automatically Regulate the internal pressure so you don't have to worry about damaging your Hub Seals. The Bearing Covers are Steel Construction and Chrome Plated, making them a great pair to Painted Steel Hubs, Galvanized Hubs or even Stainless Steel Hubs and Aluminum Wheels. This Pair of 2.44 Bearing Dust Covers also comes with their Rubber Covers which helps to protect the Zerk Fitting from getting clogged by debris and dirt.
