Description

This 16 foot DOT approved hydraulic trailer brake hose is constructed from flexible, durable rubber and comes with two male inverted flare brass brake fittings for use on trailer disc or drum brakes. The two male inverted flare ends are 3/16" and use 3/8" - 24 threading, compatible with trailer calipers, wheel cylinders, and surge actuator solenoid valves found on most boat and utility trailers. The rubber hose is UV-rated for resistance to saltwater and sun exposure, so the brake hose can stand up equally well to corrosive saltwater and sunny days outside. This 16-foot hose is usually seen on shorter single axle or tandem axle trailers, where it will run from the actuator at the tongue of the trailer down to a Brass Trailer Brake Cross Fitting or Brass Trailer Brake T-Fitting, which will split off to the two calipers on either side of the axle, and jump over to the next braked axle if applicable.

This hose is ideal for single axle boat trailers, utility trailers, cargo trailers, or any type of trailer that requires a 16-foot main line, but it can be used on any application that requires this length of trailer brake hose. The hose is high-pressure rated for trailer drum or disc brakes using surge couplers or electric over hydraulic actuators. The end fittings swivel in place to assist with tightening and loosening the lines onto their fittings without twisting and looping the line around.
