This is a Heavy Duty version of a standard 8 inch L Type Galvanized Boat trailer bunk bracket. Where most Bunk Brackets of this type are 1/4" thick, this version uses Thicker 3/8" steel. The Steel bracket is coated in a hot-dipped galvanized coating for excellent Saltwater Corrosion protection, so you can comfortably use this bracket on your Boat or PWC Trailer in Saltwater or fresh water environments.

The bracket measures 5 inches wide and 8 inches tall. The mounting holes are spaced out 3 inches apart, so you can use a 1/2" diameter U Bolt to install these to a 3" wide Crossmember. If you are mounting this 8 inch L Shape Bunk bracket to a 3 inch by 3 inch cross-member, the correct Hot-Dipped Galvanized U-Bolt is Galvanized U-Bolt 1/2 inch x 3 inch x 4 5/16 inch. With this style (L Type) of bunk bracket, your Boat Trailer's bunk boards are held up vertically on their short end, sandwiched between 2 of these brackets. A Trailer will typically have 4 of these brackets per board, but you may see 6 per board on larger, higher capacity set ups. 1 U Bolt is required per bracket.

In addition, you will need through bolts to re-mount your bunk boards. Check the length bolt you need. We have these available in both Stainless Steel and Zinc plated, you will need a 1/2 inch diameter bolt. We have Trailer Bolts of many lengths available.
