This 5 inch Black Rubber Spool Roller by Yates, MADE IN THE USA, has a 5/8 inch inner diameter that would typically mount on a Zinc Plated Roller Shaft 6 1/4 inch long 5/8 inch Diameter . This roller will mount on a 5 inch Galvanized Roller Bracket that bolts to the cross members of your boat trailer. The roller and shaft assembly can be secured together using 5/8 inch Zinc Plated Boat Trailer Roller Shaft Pal Nuts that are hammered onto the ends of the shaft. Heavy Duty Rubber and the Spool design of the roller allow for easy loading and unloading of the boat. This design will work on many types of boat hulls. This assembly then uses Boat Trailer U-Bolts or Trailer Bolts to mount the Roller bracket to the trailers cross-member.

The Spool of the roller refers to its shape. Another version of roller is referred to as a keel roller. Both rollers are typically mounted on the 5 inch keel roller bracket with the roller shafts. These rollers are extremely helpful for loading and unloading your boat onto your trailer. If you do not currently have them, you could mount them along the center of your trailer to help guide the keel of your boat. If you are replacing worn ones, just be sure to measure the width to get the right replacement size.
