Zinc plated replacement dust cap for boat or utility trailers with Accu-Lube or E-Z Lube Spindles. This dust cap is used if your axle is an axle with a grease fitting on the tip of the spindle. The Rubber plug easily removes to access your grease fitting this dust cap measures 1.98” across and will fit most 4 and 5 bolt trailer hubs. Drive in installation ensures a tight fitment in your hub. This style of dust cover or grease cap is common on both utility trailers and both trailers. This is the correct cap to select if you want to take advantage of the easy greasing maintenance the zirc fitting on the top of your axle provides.

Tight fit. I will probably scratch it up quite a bit getting it back off but it makes a good seal.

Great company

Got to know them well, bought them twice. Threw out the originals with a cardboard box......didn't know I needed a special tool to install them, finally got that. Everything I got from Sturdy Built has been great, along with customer service.

Nice final touch for new axle.

A little tricky to install without the special tool they sell, but I was eventually successful. Should make it easy to add grease by just removing the rubber center piece. I further tried to reduce water intrusion by reusing my old buddy bearing rubber covers over this cap.

Great system

These are a little tricky to install with no alignment tool but eventually got them installed with a dead blow hammer and block of wood. Ended up having to remove them to re-seat the hub bearings with a torque wrench and used a piece of 2” schedule 40 PVC pipe which fits nicely over the OD and pushes onto the lip just like the installation tool and made them very easy to install.

Buy the dust cover applicator

Purchased the axle, hubs, u-bolts, and dust covers. The most difficult part of the process was trying to get the dust covers on without the proper tool. Save some headache and get the tool with the order. Product was great, mostly operator error.

Great Fit for my Tent Trailer Re-Do

Swapped out my oil bath hubs to grease hubs this year as constant maintenance is eating my time up. Really like the snug fit into the hub and the easy access that the rubber cover allow to my axle zero fittings. Excellent product!

Works well

Purchased with easy-lube axle. Very tight fit (use a block of wood and a hammer to install). Cap fits very snug and appears more durable than regular dust caps. Would purchase again.

EZ Lube Dust Caps

inexpensive up grade to a simple standard dust cap. works great with the axle i purchase from sturdy built with the quick EZ lube grease fitting just under the rubber cap. easy to service axle to regrease without having to remove the whole hub. Very convenient set up. ++++

If you have a accu-lube axle, you need these cap. Pop the rubber cover off. Add grease if you need it. Put the rubber cover back on. Clean and easy.
