This cross member is commonly used on boat trailers with 72" wide aluminum I-beam frames. This aluminum cross-member is made out of 3" x 3" square tubing that has a 1/4" wall thickness. The V-bend in the middle has a 3" dip to help provide extra clearance for v-hull boats. Aluminum will never rust so you don't have to worry about the salt water corroding your frame anymore!
